Audience Laughs After Jen Psaki Says She Considers Herself a Journalist

Former Press Secretary Jen Psaki, who now looks competent by comparison due to her successor, was speaking with Kara Swisher, a liberal pundit and tech reporter about a new book on her time as Press Secretary. The book purports to have Psaki “ share the surprising lessons she’s learned on her path to success and offers unique yet universal advice about how to be a more effective communicator in any situation.”

Presumably, the advice includes things like “dodge questions” and “endlessly promise to circle back.”

Swisher made note of Psaki’s transition from Press Secretary to MSNBC host, asking her “you switched to journalism, essentially. Do you think you’re a journalist?”

Psaki gave a one-word “yes” answer - immediately provoking laughter from the audience.
