Days after referring to Donald Trump as his Vice President, Joe Biden is still confused as to what his Trump’s title is.

Biden spoke again about the failed assassination attempt of Trump last night, which was the third time he’s addressed the public about the shooting. Each time has been in increments of only a few minutes, and he’s never taken questions after. Last night’s speech from the White House Oval Office was pre-taped and Biden read from a script.

“Thankfully, former Trump is not seriously injured,” Biden said. “I spoke to him last night. I’m grateful he’s doing well and Jill and I keep him and his family in our prayers.”

Biden reprehensibly tried to turn this into a campaign rally, using the near-assassination of Trump as an excuse to bring up  January 6, the attack on Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul, and the faux-kidnapping of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. No other examples, such as Steve Scalise nearly being killed, or Rand Paul being assaulted, were included when Biden spoke against political violence.

He then turned to rally his base, making yet another slip up that revealed his true mindset. "... in America, we resolve our differences at the battle box. Now, that’s how we do it, at the battle box, not with bullets," Biden said, end quote.

Watch below:

In the White House transcript, the “battle box” comment has been predictably altered to “ballot box,” but the White House is pretending that Biden said “battol” when he misspoke, perhaps because they understand that “battle” sounds like a Freudian slip. However, “battol” isn’t a word.

Gven that Biden’s speech was prerecorded, it implies that even with these gaffes, this was his most coherent take.
