When Joe Biden finally addressed the murder of Laken Riley at the State of the Union he managed to frustrate both sides. Republicans were justifiably enraged that Biden couldn’t even get her name right, instead referring to her as “Lincoln Riley,” while liberals were upset that Biden hurt the feelings of an illegal alien alleged murderer by correctly referring to him as “illegal.”
During an interview with MSNBC, Biden decided to apologize, not for fumbling Laken Riley’s name, but for offending illegal aliens.
He then saw this as the perfect opportunity to pander further to an absurd degree, claiming that illegals actually built this country.
“Undocumented. An undocumented person. And I shouldn’t have used illegal. I should’ve – it’s undocumented,” Biden began, before absurdly adding that illegal migrants “look, they built this country” and are “the reason our economy is growing.” Since the poll numbers are showing the border as Biden’s top losing issue, he added that “we need to control the flow at the border” to hedge his comment - though this comes after three years of doing everything to accomplish the opposite.
