CNN’s Kasie Hunt opted to end a segment on her show instead of allowing the truth to be spoken on the network in any capacity.
Hunt asked Donald Trump’s national press secretary Karoline Leavitt about Trump’s approach to the upcoming debate, and made reference to the last time the duo faced off back in 2020.
Leavitt told Hunt; “President Trump knows what he wants to say, and he’s going to relay his vision to the American people to make this country strong, safe, secure and wealthy again. He’s been doing that across this great nation to all corners of this country,
She continued, triggering Hunt; “And that’s why President Trump is knowingly going into a hostile environment on this very network, on CNN, with debate moderators who have made their opinions about him very well known over the past eight years and their biased coverage of him.”
The moderators Leavitt is referencing are CNN’s Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, who are hosting the debate this Thursday.
A clearly offended Hunt then went on to try to defend Tapper and Bash, and ultimately ended the segment early.
Watch the trainwreck below:
Both Tapper and Bash have a long history of bias against Trump, including comparisons to Adolf Hitler (how original). As the NY Post’s Diana Glebova pointed out:
Tapper, the network’s lead Washington anchor, has called the 45th president a “desperate electoral loser” in the past, suggested Trump spread “Russian propaganda” — and has said that if re-elected, the former president will try to “kill democracy.
Tapper also has compared Trump’s language about “poisoning the blood of our country” to Hitler’s manifesto “Mein Kampf,” and in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 riots, suggested that Trump incited a “terrorist attack” on America.
Meanwhile, Bash said it was unfortunate that the Supreme Court decided to keep Trump on the Colorado ballot, and claimed that he “incited war” during his first term. She has also criticized Trump for his behavior in past debates, referring to the first Trump-Biden debate of 2020 as a “s—t show.”
The two are as biased as can be - hence why Hunt couldn’t have shut down the segment any faster.
