While on the 2020 campaign trail, Joe Biden infamously said of African-Americans during an interview with a radio host who calls himself “Charlamagne tha God” that “I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”
Ironically, with Kamala Harris replacing him as the Democrat nominee, and shifting her identity from Indian to Black in an attempt to pander, she’s facing a “you ain’t black” moment of her own.
In a segment that came days after the media had a freakout over Donald Trump pointing out to the National Association of Black Journalists that Harris changes her race when convenient, CNN sat down with black voters from Pennsylvania at a barbershop to discuss the upcoming election.
When the CNN reporter brought up whether or not Harris would help Democrats lock up the black vote (a demographic they already poll better in than any other by a large margin), he didn’t get the reaction he was expecting.
"Is Kamala gonna make you a little more likely or less likely to vote Democrat?" the reporter asked.
Amusingly, before answering the question, one of the men turned to the barber, asking "Greg, hold on. Is Kamala Black, yes or no?"
The barber responded "I’m gonna let her speak on that, but to me, no.”
He then asked the others sitting next to him and asked the same question.
"I share that same view," one responded. "I heard she wasn’t," another replied. "I heard she’s half Black and half Asian."
Watch below:
They elaborated that “she’s black when she wants to be” and “She uses the black card when she has to.”
Later in the segment, the CNN reporter asked whether they thought Trump was racist, which they rebuffed. hasn’t done anything or said anything that made me look at him and go oh he’s a racist.” one responded, with another describing the depiction of Trump as racist as being “painted in the media.”
