A CNN reporter got shut down when he desperately tried to race bait about Donald Trump mocking Kamala Harris for playing herself off as both Black and Indian when convenient, and never mixed-race.
āI didnāt know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black and now she wants to be known as Black,ā Trump said at the National Association of Black Journalistsā annual convention. āSo I donāt know, is she Indian, or is she Black?ā
Trump continued;: āI respect either one but she obviously doesnāt because she was Indian all the way and then all of a sudden she made a turn and she became a Black person. And I think somebody should look into that, too.ā
Apparently Trump is the bad guy for pointing it out - but not Harris for actually doing it.
A CNN reporter attempted to corner JD Vance on those true and hilarious comments, asking Vance "Trump said that Vice President Harris is āall the sudden Black.' As a father of three biracial children, do those comments give you pause at all?"
Vanceās children arenāt using their mixed racial identity to selectively appeal to the White and Indian communities, so itās unclear what point this reporter even thinks heās making.
Vance fired back; "They don't give me pause at all. Look, all he said is that Kamala Harris is a chameleon. She goes to Georgia two days ago, she was raised in Canada, she puts on a fake southern accent. She is everything to everybody and she pretends to be somebody different depending on which audience she is in front of.ā
He continued; "I think it's totally reasonable for the [former] president to call that out, and that's all he did. Look, she's running as a tough on crime prosecutor even though she implemented open border policies. She's saying that she wants to support the police, yet she wanted to defund the police just three years ago. It's totally reasonable to call out the fact that she pretends to be somebody different depending on the audience she's talking to."
