CNN was pained to report on just how wildly unpopular Joe Biden is despite the near-entirety of the mainstream media doing everything they can to normalize his presidency.

While referencing a recent Yahoo! News article headlined “Why is Joe Biden so unpopular?” (as if it’s a mystery) CNN reported that "At this point in his term, Joe Biden is the second most unpopular president in modern U.S. history; Jimmy Carter was the first."

The article put Biden’s net approval rating at negative 16.3% (which was based on an aggregate of polls from FiveThirtyEight). The only president to ever have a lower net approval rating was Jimmy Carter, who sunk to negative 28.6% approval on the 910th day of his presidency. “Biden’s approval rating 910 days into his term stood at just 39%” to Carter's 29%, CNN noted.

To point out the obvious, even 39% seems high, and the polls are likely overstating his support. Though that likely won’t change the rankings, as the polls overestimating the support of Democrats is nothing new. Back in 1980, the polls overestimated Carter’s support by a massive  six percentage points - and we all know how that election turned out for him.

Watch below:

When polled on specific metrics, it was already the case in 2021 that on the economy, Biden has polled worse than Carter.
