In a bid to make the show even more unwatchable, The View brought on Hillary Clinton (remember her?) to discuss the issues of the day - and mainly espouse more hysteria about Donald Trump that never materialized during his first term.
After co-host Sunny Hostin told Hillary that her 2016 election loss to Trump would go down as āone of the most pivotal momentsā in U.S. history (which is true - but for the opposite reason sheās implying), she asked Hillary to comment on a potential Trump 2024 win despite the indictments against him.
āI can't even think of that, because I think it would be the end of our country as we know it, and I don't say that lightly. I hated losing, and I especially hated losing to him because I'd seen so many warning signals during the campaign,ā Clinton replied. Itās an interesting sell in light of the fact that there already was a Trump presidency that didnāt bring about the apocalypse she and others predicted - and in light of the fact that life is objectively worse under Biden on nearly every quantifiable metric.
āLiterally, from his inauguration on, it was nothing but accusing people of things, making up facts, denying the size of the crowd at his own inauguration. Everything I worried about, I saw unfolding,ā she added.
She added that the warning signs are āeven worse now,ā and speculated that the 2016-era Trump would be restrained compared to the 2024 version of him, because Trump was constantly sabotaged by members of his own administration during his first term.
Hillary is hardly the only person on the left thinking this - as evidenced by the legal onslaught Trump faces, as his political enemies attempt yet another āinsurance policyā against another Trump presidency.
