A discussion on Kamala Harris’ crushing loss to Donald Trump quickly turned humorous when one panelist attempted to defend her campaign as simply being “set up to fail.”
ABC News contributor Sarah Isgur argued that Harris was set up to fail by only having a three-month campaign that didn’t give her “enough time to introduce herself to the American people.”
Apparently being handed $1 billion to spend and having the media give you coverage virtually 100% positive while covering Trump nearly 100% negative is being set up to fail.
Maher immediately shut her down, quipping; "You're saying three months wasn't long enough?" as the audience started to laugh.
"It was long enough. It's not that they didn't have time to introduce- they met someone and they didn't like 'em."
Watch:
Prior to replacing Joe Biden as the Democrat nominee, Harris was the least popular Vice President in the history of polling (And yes, that means she really was less popular than Dick Cheney after he shot a guy). She got a short-lived boost to net favorability immediately after replacing Biden, but that quickly reversed the more often she spoke.
