Peter Doocy called out Karine Jean-Pierre over Joe Biden’s hypocrisy on the “bloodbath” fiasco.
As everyone remembers, last month Donald Trump predicted that it would be a “bloodbath” for the auto industry if Joe Biden were reelected (or as many would say, “elected”). "Now, if I don't get elected, it's gonna be a bloodbath. That's going to be the least of it. It's going to be a bloodbath for the country," Trump said about the nation’s autoworkers.
Then in unison, the mainstream media and Joe Biden pretended to not know that the word “bloodbath” is commonly used in economics and campaigning, and reported that Trump was calling for a literal bloodbath in the event of him losing. All of these outlets had themselves used the word “bloodbath” in the past in a way not threatening mass slaughter.
So common is the word “bloodbath” used in the way Trump used it that it’s included in the dictionary definition of the word.
And as it turns out, Biden himself didn’t shy away from the word in the past.
Doocy asked KJP; “So when Donald Trump is talking about a bloodbath, it is violent rhetoric. What is it when Biden said in 2020 ‘what we can’t let happen is let this primary become a negative bloodbath.”
