Even Karine Jean-Pierre seemed amused by the question (which she still dodged) when Peter Doocy trolled her yesterday.
Referencing the case of Jamaal Bowman, who either pulled a fire alarm to disrupt a government proceeding or doesn’t understand how doors work, Doocy asked “Would President Biden ever try to get out of a meeting by pulling a fire alarm?”
Jean-Pierre appeared to briefly smirk and hold back some laughter before composing herself and adopting a serious tone as she played dumb: “Are you talking about something specific?”
“A Democratic member of Congress pulled a fire alarm around a series of votes, no fire. Is that appropriate?” Doocy responded.
“What I can tell you is I have not spoken to the president about this, and so I’m just not gonna comment. I will leave it up to you, I know there’s a House process moving forward right now, I’ll leave it to the House,” Jean-Pierre answered.
