In the funniest comment a congressional Democrat has made thus far in the new year, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries declared the GOP the party of insurrection, impeachment, and illegitimate investigations.
While speaking at a press conference, the leader of the party who objected to the 2016 election results, spent the entirety of the Trump presidency trying to investigate him on dubious allegations that all turned out to be false, and sparked two failed impeachments, decided to project to the audience while making his case for his party.
“We have repeatedly made clear that we want to find a bipartisan solution to making life better for everyday Americans. That is why we were sent to Congress – to serve the people” Jeffries said, adding that “This week has once again revealed that extreme MAGA Republicans have zero interest in doing anything productive that is designed to benefit the American people. House Republicans are the party of insurrection, impeachment and illegitimate investigations. Nothing more, nothing less. Insurrection, impeachment and illegitimate investigation.”
