Psaki Fails to Circle Back

Yesterday Steve Doocy pressed Jen Psaki on if Biden had ever even visited the southern border during his nearly fifty years in public office.

“I will have to look back in my history books and check the times he’s been to the southern border,” Psaki said. Doocy responded by saying  “We have been looking all morning and we have not found any record of him visiting the border as president, vice president, senator, or even as a concerned citizen.”

Doocy later pointed out “This is a president who makes a point when there are disasters in this country, like a wildfire or hurricane, to go and see for himself firsthand what the needs are of the local community so he can have an informed POV to make policy. Why doesn’t he go down to Del Rio, Texas, to see what’s going on?”

As seems to always be the case, Psaki didn’t “circle back” later with an answer. Later that day Doocy appeared on Fox, telling Hannity “It has been about seven hours since Jen Psaki said she would check the history books for a…Joe Biden visit to the border. We have not heard back. She said we will have numbers [of Haitians] by this afternoon. Again, it’s 9:30 at night. A lot of the lights are off.”

Whether or not Psaki has ever actually circled back to a question as promised is something we’ll have to look back in our history books for.
