Just days before the Biden Administration struck plea deals with 9/11 masterminds, including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Kamala Harris heaped praise on a pastor who blamed America for the tragedy.
According to the Washington Free Beacon’s Chuck Ross:
After President Joe Biden stepped aside on and Vice President Kamala Harris became the presumptive Democratic nominee, one of the first people she called was her longtime pastor, Amos Brown.
"She said to me, ‘Pastor, I called because I want you to pray for me … this country … and the race I am intending to run for president,’" Brown told the Christian publication Sojourners in an interview. Harris and Brown, the longtime pastor of San Francisco’s Third Baptist Church, have known each other for nearly a quarter century, and the two have remained close throughout her vice presidency. In July of 2023, Harris posted a picture of the two to the vice president’s Instagram account and described Brown as "an inspiration to me always."
Most remember when Barack Obama’s pastor Jerimiah Wright came under fire for giving anti-American sermons, including one where he said, to applause, “No, no, no, not God Bless America. God damn America.”
And Pastor Brown is somehow even worse.
Just six days after 9/11, at a memorial service, Brown blamed America.
"America, is there anything you did to set up this climate?" Brown asked the audience. "Ohhhh—America, what did you do?"
"America, what did you do two weeks ago when I stood at the world conference on racism, when you wouldn't show up?" Brown continued, referring to his participation in the United Nations World Conference Against Racism, which the United States and Israel boycotted citing concerns about anti-Semitism.
Former California Democrat Governor Gray Davis and then-Senator Dianne Feinstein both reportedly walked out during the remarks, and Nancy Pelosi used her time to push back on his comments. So Pastor Brown was too crazy for them - but not enough for Harris, who heaps praise on him constantly.
