As if the information that has poured out following the failed assassination attempt of Donald Trump wasnāt damning enough, the security breaches just keep coming.
As Fox reported:
The Secret Service is investigating a report that a female agent reportedly left her post at a Trump campaign event in North Carolina to go breastfeed.
The Secret Service acknowledged the allegations and issued a statement to Fox News Digital stating that an investigation was underway.
"All employees of the U.S. Secret Service are held to the highest standards. While there was no impact to the North Carolina event, the specifics of this incident are being examined. Given this is a personnel matter, we are not in a position to comment further," a spokesperson for the agency said.
Bear in mind, the only reason weāre even learning about these kind of mishaps is because all eyes are on the Service following the failed Trump assassination.
The incident occurred during Trumpās rally on Wednesday in Asheville, North Carolina.
The agent reportedly left her post without telling anyone, and did so just minutes before Trumpās motorcade arrived. The child was reportedly breastfed in a side room meant for agency work, where the agent was joined by several family members who were not vetted by security.
Making matters more absurd, three Secret Service agents told the Daily Mail that the room she was breastfeeding in for reserved for things along the lines of a āpotential presidential emergency,ā and that āagents working a protective assignment are forbidden from bringing a child.ā
