Senator John Kennedy quizzed Department of Homeland Security personnel on basic facts about illegal immigration - and not a single one could answer a question.
“Mr. Morant, since President Biden has been president, how many non-American citizens have come into our country illegally, or on a basis of asylum?” Kennedy asked Cardell Morant, the Director for the Center for Countering Human Trafficking.
“Thank you Senator. HSI is an investigative agency…” Morant began to dodge.
“Do you know the number?” Kennedy interjected.
“I do not,” he admitted.
“You’re a senior member of homeland security, are you not? Does anyone know the number?..... Nobody knows the number. Try eight million,” an amazed Kennedy informed them.
“Now out of that eight million, how many were children,” he further inquired, to which Morant and nobody else present knew the answer.
