While questioning FEC Commissioner Trey Trainor during a House Judiciary Committee hearing on the corrupt George Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s prosecution of Donald Trump, Rep. Thomas Massie pointed out that his fellow members of Congress have paid out their own share of “hush money” payments themselves.

Massie: So, you know, Congress has paid over $17 million in hush money for sexual misconduct inside of the offices in these buildings. And what's more is that was taxpayer money, right? The allegation is that President Trump paid $130,000 of his own money, but here in Congress we have, there may be some on this dais. I mean, I'm for turning loose all of these records.

Who in here has had the taxpayer pay for their sexual misconduct charges, the hush money? I bet there's some over there. There may be some over here. I don't know, but I do know it's taxpayer money and I do know not a single penny of it has been turned in as a campaign finance expense.

Wouldn't, I mean, is the FEC going to investigate the $17 million that Congress has paid to settle, you know, behind closed doors of these sexual misconduct allegations?

Watch the full exchange below:

The $17 million figure is from a CNN report back in 2017 - meaning the figure is undoubtedly higher today. It was based on a report from the Office of Compliance which revealed that Congress paid out more than $17 million in settlements from 1997 to 2017. Over that 20-year period, there were 268 settlements, all paid for with your tax dollars. The Office of Compliance’s reporting system makes it hard to know exactly how much of the $17 million as for sexual harassment-related settlements, but one person “familiar with the process” quoted in the article said more than two-fifths of harassment claims are settled after mediation.
