In his most recent interview, Donald Trump reacted to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s latest indictment, this one stemming from January 6th.
“He’s a deranged human being. I think he’s just a sick guy” he told host Eric Bolling. “He destroyed the lives of many people. He was overturned unanimously in the Supreme Court - I believe he’s zero and five - in other words he takes it to the end. He was involved with the IRS scandal - the big Louis Lerner scandal. That was him, that was his baby… he’s a sick puppy.”
Then turning his attention to the separate classified documents case from Smith, Trump added "And I think we’re doing very well with that guy. But he is, he’s a sick puppy. And you know, you look at the boxes. I come under the Presidential Records Act. I’m allowed to do everything that you see.”
As Townhall’s Sarah Arnold explained in an article last month, Smith prosecuted for Republican governor of Virginia Bob McConnell - and his case was later overturned by the SCOTUS in a 8-0 decision, and Smith was rebuked by the Court, who warned that “the uncontrolled power of criminal prosecutors is a threat to our separation of powers.”
Trump also put the January 6 committee on blast, which is coming under fire for failing to preserve records. “I call them, everything was deleted and destroyed. The documents — everything was deleted and destroyed. That's a criminal act.”
"So all of that stuff, all that nonsense ... with all Democrats and the two so-called Republicans, but they were worse than any of the Democrats, Kinzinger and Cheney," Trump continued. "It's all been deleted and gotten rid of. They deleted it because they didn't want anybody to see it, because the real answers were there, but they didn't want to report it. That's incredible.”
