United Auto Workers Union President Shawn Fain slammed Donald Trump as a “scab” yesterday while rallying members in Washington where he announced the union’s endorsement of Joe Biden for re-election, but even he doesn’t believe it’ll sway most members.
During an interview with Neil Cavuto explaining the UAW’s Biden endorsement, Fain cited Biden’s support for their recent successful strike against Stallantis, and continued slamming Trump for not endorsing their General Motors strike, he admitted that most of his union members likely won’t end up voting for Biden.
“Look, let me be clear about this [nervous laugh],” he told Cavuto, “a great majority of our members will not vote for President Biden. But that’s the reality of this. The majority of our members are going to vote their paychecks, they’re going to vote for an economy that works for them.”
