Vivek Ramaswamy is the latest Republican to drop out of a primary that was already over before it began.
Ramaswamy only took in 7.7% of the vote (and 3 delegates) last night in Iowa to Donald Trumpâs 51% (and 20 delegates). DeSantis got 21.2% of the vote (and 9 delegates) while Nikki Haley got 19.1% of the vote (and 8 delegates).
âWe did not achieve the surprise that we wanted to deliver tonight,â Ramaswamy told supporters in Iowa after the results came in. âThere is no path for me to be the next president absent things that we donât want to see happen in this country,â referring to the efforts to take Trump off the ballot in certain states.
âEarlier tonight, I called Donald Trump to tell him that I congratulate him on his victory. And now going forward, he will have my full endorsement for the presidency.â
