The day of reckoning is coming for USAID, the left-wing slush fund masquerading as foreign aid.
The Trump administration plans to cut 92% of USAID’s foreign aid contracts, reducing the agency’s 3,073 agreements, worth $38 billion, to just 245, costing $3 billion.
The figures are from a transition team document obtained by Axios.
Among the craziest things that USAID has spent money on include; $7.9 million to teach Sri Lankan journalists how to avoid binary gendered language, $4.5 million to combat disinformation in Kazakhstan, $2 million for sex changes and LGBT activism in Guatemala, $2.1 million to help the BBC value the diversity of Libyan society, $10 million worth of USAID-funded meals went to an al-Qaeda linked terrorist group, $6 million for tourism in Egypt - amid literally thousands of similarly absurd projects.
USAID has also been used by George Soros to force the inclusion of far-left politics in otherwise non-political USAID spending, and to subsidize his own projects. I explained in a previous article how the Heritage Foundation in 2017 exposed Soros as the “main implementor” of their so-called aid since at least the start of the Obama administration. As they documented: "During the Obama years the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) was used to promote abroad policies that remain controversial within American society itself and that serve no clear national security interests. To achieve these ends, USAID has teamed up in some countries with groups funded by financier George Soros."
It was at this time that USAID started tying development money to countries taking progressive stances on gay/transgender rights, among other leftist causes including legalizing prostitution, and decriminalizing drugs. This happened to African countries, and European countries “from Ireland to Macedonia.”
A single Soros-backed NGO, the East-West Management Institute, recieved $270 million in USAID funding over 15 years, while the Soros-backed Tides Foundation got $27 million in grants.
USAID also has close ties to, an (try not to laugh) “anti-corruption” projects of Soros (which, of course, just tries to take down political enemies by accusing them of being corrupt). Soros is a top donor to the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), which has published articles attacking Soros’ critics before. The OCCRP is cited numerous times in the whistleblower complaint that led to the first bogus Trump impeachment (Ukraine edition), just to give a glimpse of the kind of bogus “anti-corruption” work they’re doing. USAID has the authority to veto appointment of “key personnel” to the OCCRP, which is odd for a supposedly independent anti-corruption NGO. OCCRP used to have a message on their website that read “OCCRP is made possible by” followed by the logo of USAID, but it was later removed, likely to try to conceal links between the two Soros-infested organizations.
USAID has also given Soros an assist in funding color revoutions in Eastern Europe and the Balkans.Don't miss the Dan Bongino Show
