Putting her obliviousness to the concept of irony on full display for the American public, the first self-described socialist to be elected to the House of Representatives is capitalizing on her fame.
According to Reuters, which promoted AOC’s new business venture no fewer than nine times on Twitter, AOC invested $1.4 million into political merchandise for her online store since the start of 2021. The merchandise includes items with slogans included “AOC,” “Tax the Rich,” and “Fight for Our Future.”
AOC has responded to allegations of hypocrisy by proving that she doesn’t know what capitalism is:
Not sure if you know this Sean, but transactions aren’t capitalism.
Capitalism is a system that prioritizes profit at any & all human/enviro cost.
But fwiw our shop is unionized, doesn’t operate for profit,& funds projects like free tutoring, food programs,& local organizing.🌱 https://t.co/RPnMlg0mpS

Joe Concha roasted her and Reuters in response:
While your typical sweatshirt may run you $25, the “Tax the Rich” version costs $58. Perhaps we can count the price difference as a tax of sorts.
