AOC’s Amendment to Stop Military Recruitment On Twitch Defeated In House

An amendment put forward by AOC to House appropriations bill H.R. 7617, which would have forbid the Armed Forces from spending federal funds recruiting for military service through live-streaming platforms such as Twitch or other esports activities, was defeated Thursday evening. The final vote was 292-126 against the amendment, while 13 members abstained.
