Beto Goes After Greg Abbott for Re-Opening Texas – Ted Cruz and Dan Crenshaw Slam Him

Fight tech tyranny. Join Dan on Rumble.

The failed politician desperate for attention Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke decided to weigh in on Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s decision to re-open the state, calling it “dangerous, dumb, and weak.” While one could argue O’Rourke’s comment best describes his past decision to attempt fleeing the scene of a DUI, it was actually in response to Abbott’s tweet saying that “Texas is Opening Safe, Smart and Strong.”

According to TheBlaze:

Abbott allowed Texas to move to Phase 2 of its re-opening plan, which permitted more businesses to open up and expand capacity for businesses that were already open. Abbott moved the state to Phase 2 after the state’s hospitalization and COVID-19 positivity rates improved.

“Gov. Abbott’s focus is to keep Texans safe while also restoring their ability to get back to work, pay their bills and put food on their tables,” John Wittman, a spokesman for the governor’s office, said. “That is why he is opening the Texas economy in a safe and strategic manner that relies on data and doctors and will protect lives while restoring livelihoods.”

Texas’s Senator Ted Cruz immediately took O’Rourke (incidentally, Cruz’s former Senate-race opponent) to task by making fun of all Democrats.

Congressman Dan Crenshaw, also of Texas, had an even stronger rebuke for O’Rourke himself:

Keep owning the libs, whatever it takes.
