Biden Advisor Once Praised Murderous Chinese Communist Dictator
Anita Dunn, a senior advisor to the Biden presidential campaign, once said that Mao Zedong, one of world history’s biggest mass murderers, was one of her favorite political philosophers.
In a 2009 speech, when talking about “blazing your own trail in life,” Dunn noted that both Mother Teresa and Chairman Mao were the two people she turns to most.
In her speech, she said that:
“In 1947, when Mao Zedong was being challenged within his own party on his plan to basically take China over … the nationalist Chinese held the cities, they had the army, they had the air force, they had everything on their side. And people said how could you win? How could you do this?
“And Mao Zedong said, ‘You fight your war and I’ll fight mine. Think about that for a second. You don’t have to accept the definition of how to do things, and you don’t have to follow other people’s choices and paths. You fight your own war, you lay out your own path.”
Less than a month after this speech was reported on that year by then-Fox host Glenn Beck, Dunn resigned from her position in the Obama administration, where she worked as the acting White House Communications Director.
Needless to say, it is beyond despicable to praise one the biggest mass murderers in world history, no matter the reason. But to date, Dunn hasn’t denounced the evil Communist dictator. And it’s beyond despicable for a presidential candidate to rely on someone like this.
