Joe Biden made an appearance at last night’s Congressional baseball game, and was inevitably met with an eruption of boos from the Republican side of the stadium.

They did however stop at boos and didn’t repeat the “college football chant.”

Republicans ended up winning the game 13-12. It marked Steve Scalise’s return to the field, having been shot in 2017 at a practice before that year’s game.

The game had a number of highlights, with Florida GOP Rep. Greg Steube hitting the first out-of-the-park home run since 1997. At another point in the game Republicans hit back to back home runs.

Meanwhile, Congress’ race against time to prevent a government shutdown continues.
