Biden Has Gaffetastic Experience at G7 Summit

The 47th annual G7 Summit kicked off on Friday and ended yesterday. Joe Biden met with the leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the U.K., and the Presidents of the European Commission and European Council.

Leaders found common ground on a number of issues, including pledging over one billion coronavirus vaccines to poor nations, vague promises about climate change, and backing a minimum global corporate tax rate for multinational companies.

As is standard for Biden, the weekend was gaffe-packed.

In response to a question from NBC’s Peter Alexander about his plans to take against Vladimir Putin, Biden talked about ongoing military actions in Syria, which he mistakenly confused with Libya three times.

Biden seemingly admitted that his handlers are having him take questions from a pre-approved list, saying he was worried he was “going to get in trouble with staff if I don’t do this the right way” after calling on Bloomberg reporter Jennifer Jacobs.

When asked about keeping Donald Trump’s steel and aluminum sanctions, Biden told the reporter “120 days, give me a break, need time” before departing the podium.

One-hundred and twenty days was enough time for him to ruin plenty of other things however.
