At this point, it’s looking like George Santos was more honest about his upbringing than Joe Biden.
In Biden’s latest random and pointless lie about his past, he lied about his birth itself.
While speaking to the North America’s Building Trades Union Legislative Conference, Biden was touting his Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act when he started talking about his grandfather’s supposed time as a union worker.
"And, by the way, when you do [build the EV charging stations] — think about it this way, my grand-pop who I never met, he died in the same hospital I was born in two weeks before I was born, and my grand-pop was, as they say in Maryland was from Balmore," Biden began his story.
However, as the Media Research Center pointed out, Joe Biden was born on November 20, 1942 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Scranton, Pennsylvania, while his grandfather died on September 26, 1941 at John Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland.
The major fact checkers have massively dialed back their criticism of the White House once the administration shifted from Trump to Biden, with the Washington Post deciding to no longer maintain a database of Biden’s lies and misleading claims (as they did for Trump) only a few months into his presidency.
As such, Biden can always expect to get away with even the most random lies like this one, which we can expect to hear repeated in the future.
