Joe Biden made his first late night appearance as President with Jimmy Fallon for a softball interview as he battles/ignores various national crises.
“How much do you pay attention to approval ratings?” Fallon asked Biden about his dwindling popularity.
“Well, not anymore,” Biden said, prompting laughter. “I paid attention when they were in the mid-60s. Now it’s in the mid-40s; I don’t pay attention anymore,” he continued, before spreading misinformation while blaming misinformation for his continually crashing approval rating.
It hasn’t even been a year and America has lost energy independence, experienced record inflation, constantly missed estimates for jobs reports, botched the Afghanistan withdrawal and evacuation, kowtowed to China and Iran, seen more COVID deaths than Trump despite having the vaccine advantage, seen a record surge on the border, and much, much more.
I certainly wouldn’t have a sense of humor about that if I were him.
