In the latest proof that Democrats don’t ever want things to get back to normal, Joe Biden basically just admitted as much.

Asked how many Americans will need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 before life returns to what it was like pre-pandemic, Biden came short of responding “everyone.” Biden said “97%, 98%. I think we’ll get awful close. But I’m not the scientist. I think one thing is for certain. A quarter of the country can’t go unvaccinated and us not continue to have a problem.”

Even that has to be taken with a grain of salt of course, as Biden is double vaccinated and just took a booster shot yet was still masked while answering that question.

Watch below:

Vaccinating 97-98% of the population against COVID-19 is a higher percentage than we’ve inoculated for any other disease. For reference, when looking at the CDC’s official immunization schedule, for vaccines recommended within the first 24-months of a child’s life the inoculation rates are as follows: 90.8% for measles, 90.6% for Hepatitis B, 90.2% for chickenpox, 92.6% for polio, and 80.7% for tetanus.

Dr. Fauci first estimated that herd immunity would require 60-70% of the population having natural immunity or being vaccinated before he moved the goal post to 90%.

It is unclear where Biden’s 97-98% estimate comes from, if anywhere.
