Ushering in the new year, Joe Biden is assuring the American public that good times are ahead for those in possession of time machines.
During a White House meeting with his COVID-19 response team yesterday, in the year 2022, Biden offered some optimism for the new year, commenting that “There’s a lot of reason to be hopeful in 2020.”

This comes as the U.S. faces a record 1 million daily COVID cases after Biden effectively admitted his campaign promise to “shut down the virus” wasn’t happening, instead emphasizing the need for state-level solutions.
In September of 2020 (a year that already happened and isn’t the one we’re currently living in), Biden said that Trump should step down as President as the nation approached 200,000 COVID deaths. There have since been more COVID deaths on Biden’s watch than Trump’s despite the multiple advantages of advancements in treatments, a chunk of the population having acquired natural immunity the year prior, and three-quarters of the population having at least one vaccine dose.
