For the scandal-plagued administration of Gov. Cuomo, things are always getting worse.
Cuomo is battling twin scandals; one related to his disastrous nursing home policy and subsequent cover-up, and the other being a mounting sexual harassment scandal involving three woman who have come ward (so far).
Yesterday Cuomo accuser Charlotte Bennett spoke to CBS in an explosive interview, and then at night the Wall Street Journal dropped a bombshell report exposing that the nursing home coverup was worse than we thought.
According to Fox News:
Top advisers to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo influenced state health officials to remove data from a public report that showed coronavirus-related nursing-home deaths in the state had exceeded numbers previously acknowledged by the administration, a bombshell report says.
The final report focused only on nursing-home residents who died inside those facilities and did not include nursing-home residents who were transferred to hospitals after becoming sick, the Journal reported.
That means the stateās reported tally of 6,432 nursing-home resident deaths was significantly lower than the actual nursing-home death toll, sources with knowledge of the state reportās preparation told the newspaper.
As was the case with the New York AG’s report on undercounted nursing home deaths, this just confirms that we already knew.Ā In prior articles published on this website we argued that Cuomo was undercounting deaths with this tactic.
The Journal’s report drew a reaction from Democratic New York Assemblyman Ron Kim, who previously alleged that Cuomo had threatened him for speaking out against the governor’s handling of the state’s nursing homes.
"I am now thinking about writing a book about what we went through,ā Mr. Cuomo said four days after the reportās release, his first public comments about a possible book.
This is criminal.

If Cuomo can survive these scandals, there really won’t be anything a Democrat can’t get away with.
