How do you have a whistleblower secretly release information that the world is already privy to? The answer is, You don’t. On Fox and Friends this morning Bongino and the couch of Fox and Friends reiterate that the the Ukraine call with President Trump has been released and the whole world has the information.
Ainsley asks Dan if there is a possibility that some information is missing from the transcript, noting it was a visibly short call which actually took about 30 minutes.
Bongino brings up the point that how these foreign policy calls work has a lot to do with the fact that two languages are being spoken. There is a time inconsistency making the call longer than it is to read on a transcript, because there needs to be time for the translators to, well, translate for the foreign leaders. A transcript is best approximation of the translation that you can get, noted Bongino.
Brian Kilmeade brings up NBC’s Chuck Todd “interview” with Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) in which Todd accuses Sen. Johnson of supporting some “Fox News conspiracy.” Bongino said Senator Johnson should have walked off the set during the interview. Says Chuck Todd is a “disgrace” and “embarrassment” as he holds up a headline from Politico in January of 2017 that reads “Ukrainian efforts to sabotage Trump backfire.” This was not a Fox News conspiracy, and the media and Democrats have been ignoring the fact that Ukraine tried to “sabotage Trump” for years.
Bongino ends saying “no credible Republican should appear” on NBC again.
