Pelosi and the Democrats have highly enjoyed throwing around subpoenas, holding hearings, and making up false recollections of what happened on Trump’s call with Ukraine’s President Zelensky. What they have not done, however, is have a vote in the house. The Trump administration has been pushing for a vote, likely because there are many Democrats who fear their reelection security and likely would not vote for impeachment. Then you have the chance for it to move to the senate, where pretty much all the Democrats are running for president. They certainly have no time to hold a trial on impeachment as they are out convincing Americans that they will literally pay them if they become president.
Just now, after speaking with the House Democratic caucus, House Speaker Pelosi has said there will be no vote. At least for now. “There’s no requirement that we have a vote, and so at this time we will not be having a vote…we’re not here to call bluffs- we’re here to find the truth, to uphold the Constitution of the United States. This is not a game for us. This is deadly serious.” Speaker Pelosi, we know. It is unambiguously clear how serious you and your anti-Trump caucus is about impeaching the president. Don’t forget we have been following your parties outrageous attempts to oust Trump, well, since before Trump became President Trump.
As for you being “here to find the truth” how you can lie so straight faced is impressive. You are not here to find the truth because you have the truth. You have transcripts, you have text messages, you have Ukraine President Zelensky himself giving you facts. So save your breath. We know you are not after “the truth.”
According to Fox News, the move is a “boon for moderate Democrats in swing districts, who have been reluctant to have a formal vote in favor of the proceedings as the 2020 elections approach.” Pelosi’s announcement then turns comical, as she appears to forget her cause for impeachment…this time. “All roads seem to lead to Putin with the president – even though Democrats began their probe because of the president’s actions concerning Ukraine, not Russia” Pelosi said to reporters.
As Jon Gabriel tweeted, “I thought you were impeaching him for working with Putin’s enemies in Ukraine. Pick one collusion narrative and stick with it.”
