Bruce Springsteen Says He’s Moving to Australia if Donald Trump Wins
Bruce Springsteen, whose biggest song, Born in the USA, came out in 1984, said that he was going to Australia if Donald Trump wins the election. The famous singer, whose last top 40 hit was in 2009, warned the world that Trump had better lose as he talked to the Australian press.
“If Trump is re-elected – which he will not be; I’m predicting right now he’s gonna lose – if by some happenstance he should be, I’ll see you on the next plane.”
The singer, whose career still mostly seems to revolve around songs he sang 30 years ago, has been a frequent Trump critic and he is not alone in wanting to leave the US if Trump wins.
In June, he slammed the Trump administration’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, saying the president should “put on a f—— mask.” Last year, Springsteen said Trump “doesn’t have a clue” what the responsibilities of the presidency mean.
Other stars have expressed a desire to flee the country if Trump defeats Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden on Election Day. Last week, rocker Tommy Lee said of Trump’s potential reelection: “Dude, I swear to God if that happens then I’m coming over to visit the U.K.”
In 2016, dozens of celebrities — including Miley Cyrus, Samuel L. Jackson and Lena Dunham, among others — pledged to flee the country if Trump won the presidential race.
Isn’t it funny how these celebrities always stamp their little feet, hold their breath until they turn blue, and DEMAND that we choose the candidate that they want or else…THEY’LL MOVE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY. Is there anyone alive who cares where Bruce Springsteen makes a living off of nostalgia from the days when he was making meaningful music? If anything, having Hollywood stars and famous musicians promising to move overseas would probably be a strong incentive to vote for Trump.
Here we have a guy whose net worth is estimated to be 500 million dollars saying he’s ready to leave the country that made him rich and famous because he’s angry about who might be President. Of course, it’s all virtue signaling. Bruce Springsteen, Miley Cyrus, Samuel Jackson, Lena Dunham, Tommy Lee, and all the rest of these celebrities are, unfortunately, going to stay right here in the US no matter how many times they threaten to leave over a Republican winning the White House. As an extra added bonus, they’re going to attack the capitalistic system that made them rich and try to change it so other people won’t have the same opportunities that they did because they want liberals to tell them how great they are over caviar at Hollywood parties. Do you remember when celebrities and athletes didn’t talk about who they supported because they didn’t want to alienate their fans and besides, what did they know about politics anyway? I really miss those days. Do you?
