The central California city of Atwater has declared itself a “sanctuary,” but unlike the Left’s use of sanctuaries for illegal aliens, this one is a sanctuary for businesses that want to operate during California’s stay-at-home-order.
On Friday, Atwater passed a resolution allowing busineses, churches, and non-profit organizations to reopen, even if California’s statewide lockdown, as reported by TheBlaze.

The resolution read, “affirming the city’s commitment to fundamental constitutional rights and declaring the City of Atwater a sanctuary city for all businesses.”
Atwater Mayor Paul Creighton said, “This is America. You have the choice. It’s time for the government to stop dictating another month, another three months, six months. When is it going to end? When everyone is bankrupt?”
Godspeed, Mayor Creighton. This is America.
