After more than 100 people were shot over the July 4th weekend in Chicago, Alderman Anthony Napolitano explained what’s going on in Chicago in a way you seldom, if ever, hear politicians do. Napolitano, an independent who is a former fireman and policeman had this to say about what’s going on in Chicago.
Napolitano is one of only four Independents on Chicago’s 50-seat city council, with the other 46 held by Democrats.
Napolitano said Lightfoot’s claim that guns were the problem is “pure nonsense.” He then went on to note that the areas surrounding Chicago, where the guns were coming supposedly coming from, had “nowhere near the amount of crime we do.” He went on to say that Kim Foxx, another lax Soros-backed prosecutor who refuses to prosecute many criminals, was, “the worst in the nation.” He went on from there to say that THE PARENTS of these kids are part of the problem. “We have a people problem here in Chicago and I’ve been saying this for a long time, we have zero accountability for parents in the city of Chicago. Nobody is raising their kids anymore, the gangs are raising them.”
What Napolitano is saying is absolutely correct. This is a problem that starts with bad parenting and is being exacerbated by malevolent politicians. Chicago is full of parents that know they aren’t raising their kids right, but they’re letting their kids run wild anyway. Then those kids get affiliated with a gang and end up dead or in jail. Lori Lightfoot helped defund the police in Chicago. She knew people would die because of that, but she did it anyway. Kim Foxx knows that giving criminals passes doesn’t work and that people are going to die because of it, but she is doing it anyway. Chicago is the way it is for a reason and until the people in that city address it and start making some changes, that city will continue to be a shooting gallery.
