Chuck Schumer Throws Down the Gauntlet; “Now We Take Georgia, and Then We Change the World”
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, smiling for the first time in four years, could not contain his glee.
Following the media’s coronation of former Vice President Joe Biden as the 46th President-elect on Saturday, an exuberant Schumer celebrated with a large crowd of Biden supporters on the streets of Brooklyn, NY.
Addressing the revelers, he shouted, “Now we take Georgia, and then we change the world!”
Schumer was referring to the January 5 runoff elections for Georgia’s two senate seats. The outcome of these races will determine the balance of power in the Senate.
If Democrats were to “take Georgia” by prevailing in both races, and Biden were to indeed win the presidency, the Party would control the Senate. Democrats already control the House.

Democrats realized a net gain of one senate seat on Election Day bringing their total to 48. Excluding the seats currently occupied by Georgia Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler which will be decided in January, Republicans currently control 50 seats. If they lose one, they will still hold a majority, albeit a very small one. If both races are lost, the majority will go to whichever party wins the presidency. In a 50-50 Senate, ties are broken by the vice president.
If Biden is declared the winner and the Democrats take these two seats, there would be nothing to stop them from enacting their radical agenda. A stacked Supreme Court, statehood for Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico to provide the Party with four new Democratic senators, the elimination of the 60-vote rule, and every other item on their liberal fantasy list would become a reality.
Although anything can happen, both Perdue and Loeffler are expected to hold onto their seats. Not even The Washington Post thinks they will lose. (I posted about these special elections on Saturday here.)
Even so, we better listen to Chuck. He threw down the gauntlet on Saturday. He is deadly serious.
Democrats are determined, smart, duplicitous and they are willing to do whatever is necessary to achieve their goals. Many party leaders are morally bankrupt. Rep. Adam Schiff (CA) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi belong in this category. Add to this mix the bitterness and anger which has been festering inside of them for over four years. Suffice it to say that there are few lines they wouldn’t cross to get what they want.
Although I realize Georgia is not Philadelphia, the Democrats in Atlanta are no amateurs. Additionally, given what’s at stake, top party leaders will be focused on these races.
Perdue and Loeffler are currently the only thing standing between America and socialism. And, yes, it really is that simple.
Republicans must go to extraordinary lengths to protect the integrity of these elections from Democratic chicanery.
What does that entail? I’m including a portion of a comment from a reader who understands precisely what is required.
So…Republicans….do you understand what needs to be done? Not likely. You need to post hardcore, ballot protectors in every precinct, and at every collection and counting site. You need people posted at every window and door 24/7 after the election so that no ballot enters after dark…and you need your guys prepared to go to jail if the Democrats try to remove them from ballot counts…Gov. Kemp needs to activate the state police and have them posted at each collection site 24/7 to prevent the middle of the night ballots entering polling places…
He’s not wrong.
