Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton acknowledged that Joe Biden’s age is of concern “for anyone” while still attempting to pitch him as a successful president, citing no real accomplishments in the process.
“There was that heart-stopping moment when he [Biden] almost fell over coming down the stairs a day or two ago. Every time that happens, your heart is in your mouth because these things could be consequential. Is that a concern?” Hillary was asked at the Financial Times Weekend Festival in Washington, D.C.
“It’s a concern for anyone. We’ve had presidents who had fallen before who were a lot younger, and people didn’t go into heart palpitations,” Clinton replied. “But, you know, he has this great saying, and I think he’s right, don’t judge him for running against the Almighty but against the alternative. I am of the camp that I think he’s determined to run.”
In other words, Hillary’s main argument for Biden 2024 boils down to “at least he’s not the other guy,” hardly showing much confidence in Biden as a candidate.

In a NBC News poll last month, 70% of adults said Biden shouldn't run again, and 69% said that age was a factor. In my opinion, voters aren’t properly articulating the problem with Biden here. It’s not really his age that’s the problem, but rather that it’s evident his age has clearly diminished his mental faculties. That’s obviously not the case for every person around his age. No one is voicing any concern about Trump’s age (who is only four years younger than Biden) after all, as Trump is capable of speaking to reporters without needing a pre-approved list - and even capable of speaking complete sentences.
