Dan Bongino joined Mark Levin, host of Fox News Channel’s ‘Life, Liberty & Levin’ to discuss his new book “Exonerated. The Failed Takedown of President Donald Trump by the Swamp.”
Mark Levin begins the interview by noting that Bongino has been looking into this “non-Russia issue” since the start. Levin and Bongino agree that the issue of Russia collusion in President Trump’s election “was the greatest setup and political spectacle in all of American history.”
The book discusses how the highest levels of Obama officials, the highest level of federal law enforcement, the diplomatic core and intelligence officers, all working to destroy the candidacy of Trump. Moreover, they are still working today to destroy his presidency, and the media has now colluded.
Levin lauded Bongino for the blockbuster revolution in his book. “This is a blueprint” said Levin. “What they have done to Trump is a blueprint they finally got to execute thanks to Obama and Clinton.”
Levin and Bongino then go into shocking detail about how when putting spies in the Trump campaign and trying to find collusion didn’t work, they resorted to a narrative already made up in a 2007 Wall Street Journal piece by Glen Simpson. The piece discussed Russian collusion against McCain.
However, George W. Bush was in the White House at that time and Bush wasn’t going to allow the intelligence community to weaponize to spy on McCain. Therefore it went no further. The golden ticket came when Obama was President which allowed the Democrats to “control the apparatus.” Instead of just leaking ridiculous stories to the press, the intelligence community was able to “weaponize” and double down in our FISA court system all as an attempt to take down Trump.
