Recent remarks by presidential hopeful Kamala Harris display the exact delusion that Democrats refuse to part from. While accepting questions in Altoona, Iowa Harris was asked if she would prosecute Trump for impeachment. Her response? A very telling “I’ve been calling for the impeachment of this president for a long time.” Fascinating, considering this impeachment probe has only been going on for about a month. The fact that she has been chomping at the bit, along with the rest of her party, to axe the president for anything and everything is evidence of why this impeachment probe even exists. Pure, simple, hatred for Trump.
Even more delusional, her comments continue: “we have a confession. We have a coverup.” What? Where? Trump’s supposed “confession” is that he had a reasonable conversation with a foreign leader because, well, he is the president of the United States. That’s what they do. A coverup? You mean the immediate release of the full transcript? What a coverup! Harris continued “when people say, ‘how long do you think this impeachment process is going to be?’ it should’t take very long, because, I mean, he did it out in the open.”
Yes Kamala, he did do it out in the open because a president asking another president about corruption is pretty standard. Oh, apparently only if it is a Democrat who is doing the asking. Remember when four Democratic senators sent a letter to Ukraine asking them to look into Trump? That’s right, Richard Durbin (D-IL) lead the group in saying to Ukraine, “If you don’t keep investigating Trump we will reconsider our bipartisan support for aid.” That’s what we call quid pro quo. Something Trump did not do.
