It’s hard to keep tabs on when exactly the climate apocalypse is set to occur.
In his 2006 film “An Inconvenient Truth,” Al Gore predicted sea levels rising 20 feet or more in the “near future.” Years later in 2009 he told the Copenhagen Climate Conference there was a 75% chance the entire north polar ice cap would melt in the nex 5-7 years.
Those predictions didn’t pan out, and the timeline was since pushed back once again.
It was in 2019 that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez began warning that we had exactly 12 years until climate Aramgeddon, a number she got from a United Nations report. This is the same UN that in 1972 warned us that we only have 10 years left to fend off climate catastrophe.
Making matters even more confusing, Democrat House Minority Whip is now declaring the crisis thwarted - and it’s apparently all thanks to Joe Biden’s “Inflation Reduction Act,” which has widely been criticized for fueling inflation.
While speaking to PBS about the debt ceiling debacle, Clark said Republicans “want to undo the IRA [Inflation Reduction Act] and the climate crisis that we were able to help avoid and build resiliency through that bill.”

But will this prevent Clark in the future from using climate fearmongering to advance her agenda the second it’s convenient? Of course not.
