Last month leaked audio proved that DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas acknowledges that there’s a crisis at the border – but only in private.

In that audio Mayorkas said “A couple of days ago I was down in Mexico, and I said look, you know, if, if our borders are the first line of defense, we’re going to lose and this is unsustainable. We can’t continue like this, our people in the field cant continue and our system isn’t built for it.”

Yesterday Townhall’s Julio Rosas questioned Mayorkas on his past comments, asking if he’d publicly acknowledge the crisis since we all now know that he privately believes there is one. When Rojas began to ask however, he was immediately cut off. “I’m going to stop you right there. Let me just say very clearly. We are focused on meeting the challenge, we are focused on the mission,” he said without answering the question.
