After privately admitting that the situation at the border is out of control just weeks ago, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said with a straight face today that be believes the borders are closed.
In that private audio Mayorkas admitted “A couple of days ago I was down in Mexico, and I said look, you know, if, if our borders are the first line of defense, we’re going to lose and this is unsustainable. We can’t continue like this, our people in the field cant continue and our system isn’t built for it.”
Speaking before Congress today, he was pressed by Sen. Ron Johnson who asked “do you honestly believe that our borders are closed?,” to which he amazingly replied in the affirmative.
