Congressman John Ratcliffe (R-TX) says DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz has completed his investigation into alleged FISA abuses by the FBI.

The lawmaker says he met with Horowitz last week to discuss the status of the investigation.

“We talked about his report, the timing of his report, not the content,” Ratcliffe told Fox News’ Hannity on Monday.

“And he related that his team’s investigative work is complete, and they’re now in the process of drafting that report. So I would expect that a draft of that will be completed in short order. I will tell you though, I don’t expect that any of us are going to see any time real soon.”

According to the Congressman, Horowitz informed him that about 20 percent of the report will include classified information, “so that draft report will have to undergo a classification review at the FBI and at the Department of Justice.”

“So, while I am hopeful that we might see it before members of Congress recess for the August recess, I’m not too certain about that,” Ratcliffe said.

The Congressman does expect the reports by both Horowitz and U.S. Attorney John Durham to be “significant.”

“But Michael Horwitz and his findings and John Durham and his findings, those are going to be significant. Those relate not to Trump misconduct, but potential Obama misconduct,” he said.
