Trump, who is the author of the new book, “Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us” slammed those on the left for their faux outrage after he tweeted a Breitbart article which mentioned the “whistleblower” by name.
“They weren’t mad that I outed him,” he told Dan. “They were mad that once I did, people could see ‘Oh, he was Joe Biden’s guest at state dinners. Oh, he’s friends with Brennan…This guy isn’t the quote-on-quote humble public servant they’re trying to make him out to be. He’s a CIA partisan hack that’s on the other side and they don’t like that out there because it makes their narrative worse.”
Trump also addressed the possibility of a political run in the future, telling Dan, “I enjoy the game. I like it a lot. I never rule anything out.” However, he made it clear that his sole focus in the next year is ensuring his father is reelected in 2020.
The president’s son didn’t hold back when discussing the media’s blatant, anti-Trump, liberal bias. “The Democrats and the mainstream media are one,” he said. “The mainstream media–there’s no longer a pretense of objectivity. They’ve just decided ‘Hey, we are going to be the marketing wing of the Democrat party….’ it’s why they have no credibility.”
Trump says Democrats and the media are desperate to sabotage his father’s presidency, and points out that rank and file members of the FBI are “disgusted” with the witch hunt against the president.
“They’re just hoping to get him on anything,” he said. “If only they had the same sort of scrutiny over the people at the top of the FBI…I don’t mean the door-kickers. Those guys come up to me on a daily basis, Dan, disgusted. They’re like ‘I can’t believe what these guys have done. I can’t believe they tarnish our badge. ..It’s not the door-kickers, it’s not those guys who are actually doing the real work…it’s the lawyer schmucks at the top that have been politicized…”
Trump decried Democrats for their disturbing obsession with socialist policies, saying it was no longer a “fringe element” within the party.
“How come [Democrats] don’t have someone from Eastern Europe who lived under communism, from former Soviet Union, from China, from Cuba, from Venezuela? How come they can’t find one person who has actually lived under communism and extreme socialism who will come here and say ‘no no no lets bring this stuff here. it’s wonderful.'”
