Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe politely confirmed that Dr. Anthony Fauci lied to Congress.
Rep.Nicole Malliotakis asked Ratcliffe “Given what we know now, if you were in Dr. Fauci’s position, would you have denied the NIH’s role in gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab?”
“No,” he replied, leading Malliotakis to enquire: “Do you think Dr. Fauci lied under oath?”
In response, Ratcliffe effectively answered “yes” in the nicest way possible to Fauci. “I think that some of Dr. Fauci’s testimony is inconsistent with some of the intelligence we have that remains classified, as well as inconsistent with information that is publicly available.”
So either he lied, or was ignorant, and Ratcliffe gave no indication he thought Fauci pushed a falsehood without knowing better.

Also during Ratcliffe’s testimony, he joined the increasing chorus of those confirming that the Wuhan lab leak theory is more than just a theory. “A lab leak is the only explanation credibly supported by our intelligence, by science, and by common sense” and that “if our intelligence and evidence supporting a lab leak theory was placed side by side with our intelligence and evidence pointing to a naturally occurring ‘spillover’ theory, the lab leak side of the ledger would be long and overwhelming while the ‘spillover’ side would be nearly empty.”
More recently, FBI Director Christopher Wray said he sees the lab leak as the most likely origin for the pandemic. That came after, of all agencies, the Energy Department assessed that the pandemic most likely came from a lab leak.
It seems like everyone now believes what was once blasted in the media as nothing more than a “conspiracy theory” - and Fuaci is still one of the only holdouts.
