An entire impeachment probe is being done because of hearsay. Someone heard something who heard something, and in the eyes of Democrats and mainstream media that justifies a very real and serious attempt to impeach the President of the United States. Unsurprisingly, the same people attempt to silence the opposing side who supports Trump, even if under their very same subpar standards.
Foaming at the mouth, liberals are furious that Don Trump Jr. retweeted an article from Breitbart, who reported on an investigation that names Eric Ciaramella as the whistleblower. Ironic that they are calling Jr’s actions illegal for simply tweeting an article, yet launching the United States into an impeachment probe on the merits of a guy who heard something is perfectly fine.
Facebook removed Breitbart’s post reporting on the whistleblower, which then received notifications saying their page was “at risk of being unpublished.” In response to Breitbart questioning the removal, a Facebook spokesman issued the following statement:
Any mention of the potential whistleblower’s name violates our coordinating harm policy, which prohibits content “outing of witness, informant, or activist.” We are removing any and all mentions of the potential whistleblower’s name and will revisit this decision should their name be widely published in the media or used by public figures in debate.
The Breitbart article referenced RealClearInvestigations, which reported that Ciaramella’s name has been raised privately in impeachment depositions and at least one open hearing not involved with the impeachment inquiry. “RealClearInvestigations also reported that House Democrats this week blocked Republicans from asking questions about Ciaramella and ‘intend to redact his name from all deposition transcripts.”
According to the outlet, their justification for publishing the alleged whistleblowers name is logical:
RealClearInvestigations is disclosing the name because of the public’s interest in learning details of an effort to remove a sitting president from office. Further, the official’s status as a ‘whistleblower’ is complicated by his being a hearsay reporter of accusations against the president, one who has ‘some indicia of an arguable political bias … in favor of a rival political candidate’ — as the Intelligence Community Inspector General phrased it circumspectly in originally fielding his complaint.
Additional information released is that “Ciaramella is 33-years-old, a registered Democrat who began working at the White House during the Obama administration and previously worked with former Vice President Joe Biden and former CIA Director John Brennan.” Ciaramella left Trump’s National Security Council in 2017 after he was accused of leaking information against Trump to the media. He then returned to the CIA and “huddled for ‘guidance’ with the staff of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA), including former colleagues who now work for Schiff” reported Breitbart.
