In the latest case of Dr. Anthony Fauci refusing to admit that he’s been wrong about a single thing, he doubled down on the disastrous policy of school closures this week.
When asked by CNN’s Brianna Keilar if schools were closed too long in some places, Fauci refused to give a direct answer, instead opting to say that it’s better to “look forward,” right now, whatever that means. When asked if school closures could’ve been handled better, he gave a politicians answer; the technically true statement that anything could always be done better.
It’s now clear that despite COVID posing roughly the same risk to children as the flu, the policies enacted to slow its spread have caused profound learning loss, particularly among kids from the poorest households. Of course, Fauci mentions none of the costs of his policies.

This comes just weeks after Fauci’s predictions that packed stadiums over the summer would be super spreader events failed to materialize.
