During a series of media appearances, Emily Kohrs, the foreperson on the Georgia grand jury investigating Donald Trump over alleged “election subversion” in Georgia, made some bizarre admissions about the process.
Kohrs explained while giggling to MSNBC that she wanted to subpoena Trump so she could have the opportunity to stare at im while swearing him in.
“I wanted to hear from the former president. But honestly, I kind of wanted to subpoena the former president because I got to swear everybody in. And so I thought it would be really cool to get 60 seconds with President Trump, of me looking at him and being like ‘do you solemnly swear?’ and me getting to swear him in. I just, I kinda just thought that would be an awesome moment.” During the process, Kohrs had swore in one witness with a Ninja Turtle popsicle.

Elsewhere Kohrs cited meeting Rudy Giuliani and shaking his hand as the highlight of her role in the investigation, so it’s unclear if her motivations are even purely ideological, or if she’s just excited by the opportunity to meet famous people.
